Monteith began his acting career in Vancouver, British Columbia appearing in Final Destination 3, Whisper and Deck the Halls, Kyle XY, Smallville, Supernatural, Flash Gordon, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1. In 2009, Monteith was cast in the Fox series Glee, playing Finn Hudson, the male lead of the glee club and the quarterback of McKinley High School. For his audition tape, he drummed on Tupperware using pencils. The first time he sang in front of an audience was at his in-person audition, at which he sang “Honesty” by Billy Joel.
Duncan-native Ali Liebert is quickly becoming one of Canada’s rising stars with the upcoming releases of 4 feature films (Foxfire, Afghan Luke, Sisters & Brothers, and In the Hive) as well as the highly anticipated January 2012 premiere of the original Global series, Bomb Girls. After high school, Ali studied musical theatre at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria before moving to Vancouver to pursue acting professionally. It wasn’t long before Ali snagged the role she is perhaps best known for: sassy Nikki Bolton on the popular CBC horror/drama TV series, Harper’s Island. With over 45 credits to her name, television audiences may also recognize her from guest appearances on Hellcats, Human Target, Fringe, Dead Like Me, The L Word, The 4400, Whistler, Fallen, Psych and recurring roles on Intelligence, Young Blades, Killer Instinct and Kyle XY.
Andrew McIlroy is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, in Montreal, and is one of Canada’s and Vancouver’s most highly respected acting instructors. He was the co-artistic director of the full-time program at the Gastown Actors Studio, in Vancouver, and is one of the most popular adjudicators requested by Theatre BC for festivals and workshops. He has taught as a faculty member at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Simon Fraser University and is currently an instructor at Vancouver Film School, Leap Studios, and Studio 3 Media.
